A 30 minute short film, Not Alone, is shown to an audience of Syrian refugee children and their families. Its storyline centers around Khalil, who loses both his parents and everything they owned in the midst of the Syrian civil war.
Forced to move into a refugee camp with his aunt and cousin, Khalil makes a living by collecting trash from the local dump and finds himself overcome with anger and hopelessness. With the help of Hanan, a lady who continually visits & helps his family, he discovers that he is not alone and that God cares for him. This movie screening is immediately followed by discussion in small groups.
